What is the Parkinson's Connection?

We are a hub for the fitness and wellness needs of people with Parkinson’s disease, offering fitness programs, support groups and wellness classes in-house at the Katz JCC as well as online via Zoom. Please note that JCC membership/Jewish affiliation NOT required for participation in any Parkinson’s Connection program.

Rock Steady Boxing

In-person small group boxing training offered in four levels of intensity. An individual assessment determine your optimal class level.

Hybrid Rock Steady Fitness

Virtual all-level fitness class combining strength, cardio, balance, and voice work. Includes weekly live sessions and on-demand recordings.

Steps to Wellness Program

This community grant-funded program from The Parkinson’s Foundation provides five affordable, specialized wellness support classes such as Pedaling for Parkinson’s, Vocal Connections Speech Therapy, Ping Pong for Parkinson’s, Mindful Balance, and Yoga for Parkinson’s.

Tai Chi for Balance

Beginner-friendly slow movement class that builds strength and reduces falls.

Pedaling for Parkinson’s

Research-backed indoor cycling to manage symptoms and improve quality of life.

Neuro Reformer

Pilates reformer class to improve strength, balance, and mobility. Max 5.

Rhythm & Drumming

Uses rhythmic movement and drumming to improve coordination, memory, and safety.

Martial Arts for Movement

Non-contact martial arts to boost memory, movement, and confidence.

Virtual Yoga for Parkinson’s

Gentle Zoom-based yoga improving balance, posture, and stress reduction.
